Rabbi Yonatan Yussman, Ed.D, Head of School
Rabbi Yonatan Yussman, Ed.D., received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and later went on to immigrate and study in Israel, receiving a Master’s degree in Jewish Education, magna cum laude, from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Rabbinic Ordination from Rabbi Daniel Landes, Rosh Yeshiva of the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem. While in Israel, he also proudly served in the Israel Defense Forces. In addition to a rabbinic degree, he holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with high honors. His dissertation, on the topic of prayer in Jewish pluralistic schools, received two awards for most outstanding dissertation. Dr. Yussman has an esteemed record of collaborating with top school leaders internationally, such as at Harvard University’s Principals’ Center, Bar Ilan University’s Principals’ Center, and the Hartman Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. He has enjoyed a dynamic career as a Rabbi, classroom teacher, administrator, mentor and educator. Over the course of his career, Dr. Yussman has been an active leader in education both internationally and in his local communities. He continues to serve as teacher mentor for graduates of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. Dr. Yussman describes himself as a “consummate student” and has published extensively on leadership, ethics, prayer, Jewish identity and education.
